Decentralized
No KYC
Buy and sell Bitcoin for fiat (or other cryptocurrencies) privately and securely using Bisq's peer-to-peer network and open-source desktop software. No registration is required, and there is no KYC policy.
Notes:
The Bisq Network is decentralized, and you must download the app to use it (on desktop). The UI, in our opinion, is very clunky and can seem very annoying, complicated, or confusing to the average user.
Partially decentralized
No KYC
LocalCryptos lets you buy and sell cryptos using any payment method. Including bank transfer, PayPal, and much more. LocalCryptos also provides an encrypted messenger, to allow a buyer to communicate with a seller.
Notes:
To sign up for LocalCryptos, you must either use your ETH (Ethereum) wallet or your email address. LocalCryptos also does not require any sensitive information (ID, SSN, etc), as there is no KYC policy.
Partially decentralized
No KYC
Swapzone lets you swap crypto for crypto, in a very seamless, private, and secure way. Simply visit the website, select which crypto you want to send and which crypto you want to receive, the amount, and then the trade will begin.
Notes:
Swapzone is NOT decentralized, but they have a very unique system for trading cryptocurrencies (more of that can be seen on their website). You do not need to register an account, nor is there a KYC policy. Swapzone is super simple.
Centralized
No KYC
Sideshift, like Swapzone, lets you exchange cryptocurrencies. We find that Sideshift is faster, and more user friendly than Swapzone, however Swapzone also remains a good option. Sideshift does currently have country restrictions (as of Jan 11th, 2022).
Notes:
Sideshift currently blocks users from North Korea (DPRK), the USA, Iran, Belarus, Cuba, Eritrea, and Syria. Sideshift has also states that using a VPN to avoid these restrictions is against their terms of service. They plan on lifting these restrictions soon.
